Barnes-Jewish Hospital (BJH) is ranked among the top U.S. hospitals and is a nationally certified Level 1 Trauma Center with over 85,000 ED annual visits. At 1259 beds, BJH is the largest in Missouri and one of the largest in a multi-state region. Charles F. Knight Emergency & Trauma Center (adult) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital occupies the ground floor of multiple multistory buildings with surgical suites, ICUs, radiology, laboratory and essential services located nearby. The rooftop helipad allows for integration and efficiency of care.

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is a community-based, state-of-the-art facility focused on same-day and short-stay surgical care. Smaller than our main hospital, the West County emergency department is easy to navigate but still sees over 18,000 patients annually. Patients needing inpatient admission are cared for in modern private rooms.

• Physician, nurse practitioner and physician assistant teams specializing in emergency medicine are Washington University faculty and staff
• Select subspecialty services available, including general surgery, colorectal surgery, urology, gastroenterology

Missouri Baptist Medical Center is a highly regarded acute-care facility with 489 beds. It is situated in the near-western suburbs of St. Louis County. The hospital consistently receives recognition for its excellence and is frequently ranked among the top hospitals in the state of Missouri. It holds designations as a Primary Stroke Center, STEMI Referral Center, and ACEP Accredited Bronze Level Geriatric Emergency Department, highlighting its commitment to providing comprehensive and specialized care.
