Rachel Armstrong, MD

Rachel grew up in Lexington, Kentucky. She attended Cornell University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors in Biology.  She then attended Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Afterwards, she completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami where she also served as Chief Resident focusing on quality improvement. During residency, she passed an EMRA resolution and published a paper in WestJEM focusing on improving the quality of care for patients who are incarcerated.  

Rachel is eager to be part of the WashU Emergency Medicine team. She loves simulation and is interested in devising innovative ways to teach. She is also very interested in quality improvement and healthcare administration. In her spare time, she loves to bake, run, and do improv.
