Smaller than our main hospital, the West County emergency department is easy to navigate but still sees over 18,000 patients annually. Patients needing inpatient admission are cared for in modern private rooms.

• Physician, nurse practitioner and physician assistant teams specializing in emergency medicine are Washington University faculty and staff
• Select subspecialty services available, including general surgery, colorectal surgery, urology, gastroenterology
• 24/7 laboratory services, x-ray and CT scan
• Access to BJH/Washington University Specialists, and patients who require a higher level of care can be transferred to an appropriate care facility
