The Emergency Department at Barnes-Jewish Hospital occupies the ground floor of multiple multistory buildings with surgical suites, ICUs, radiology, laboratory and essential services located nearby. The rooftop helipad allows for integration and efficiency of care.

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital proudly serves the health care needs of families in St. Charles, Lincoln, Warren, and Pike counties.

For more than 40 years, Barnes-Jewish St. Peters has provided exceptional care close to home. The hospital’s comprehensive services include a breast health and women’s center, cardiology center, outpatient surgery and endoscopy center, and a Siteman Cancer Center facility on campus. It provides high-quality inpatient and outpatient medical care with specialty areas including cardiology, pulmonology, orthopedics, and neurosurgery, along with emergency care, physical therapy, a sleep lab, infusion, and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation. The campus also has an inpatient rehabilitation facility, operated by The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis.

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Level II Stroke Center is certified as a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. The Hospital was the first in St. Charles County to offer robotic-assisted surgery and one of only two hospitals in the St. Louis region to offer minimally invasive, robotic-assisted lung biopsies.

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is a community-based, state-of-the-art facility focused on same-day and short-stay surgical care. Smaller than our main hospital, the Barnes-Jewish West County emergency department is easy to navigate, but still sees nearly 18,000 patients annually. Patients needing inpatient admission are cared for in modern private rooms. Select subspecialty services are available, including general surgery, colorectal surgery, urology, gastroenterology, orthopedics 

24/7 laboratory services, x-ray and CT scan. The hospital has a 7-bed emergency department with 3 semi-private bays. Physician, nurse practitioner and physician assistant teams specializing in emergency medicine are WashU Medicine specialists. Patients who require a higher level of care can be transferred to an appropriate care facility 

Christian Hospital is a full-service, acute-care hospital, in partnership with WashU Medicine physicians. It is recognized for its excellence in heart services and cardiothoracic surgery, emergency medicine, neurosurgery, infusion, breast health services, orthopedic/spine surgery, hyperbaric wound care, pain management, vascular surgery, endocrinology, gastrointestinal care, stroke care, nephrology, therapy, radiology, urology, pulmonary care, and sleep disorders.

Missouri Baptist Medical Center is a highly regarded acute-care facility with 489 beds. The Emergency Department offers comprehensive adult care, with a dedicated pediatric area in partnership with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. It is situated in the near-western suburbs of St. Louis County. The hospital consistently receives recognition for its excellence and is frequently ranked among the top hospitals in the state of Missouri. It holds designations as a Primary Stroke Center, STEMI Referral Center, and ACEP Accredited Bronze Level Geriatric Emergency Department, highlighting its commitment to providing comprehensive and specialized care.

Northwest HealthCare, located six miles west of Christian Hospital, provides 24-hour emergency care staffed by WashU Medicine and St. Louis Children’s Hospital physicians. Northwest HealthCare is also home to the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of full-service outpatient diagnostic laboratory and imaging services.

Siteman Cancer Center is located on the Northwest HealthCare campus and offers nationally recognized cancer care, including clinical trials and innovative cancer therapies.

Progress West Hospital provides surgical services, endoscopy services, a cardiac catheterization lab, medical and surgical inpatient services, diagnostic imaging, and outpatient lab services. Progress West Hospital’s Childbirth Center offers a Level II Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) that can provide care for premature babies born as early as 31 weeks while keeping mothers and babies together.

Additionally, the hospital offers an adult Emergency Department and a specialized pediatric emergency unit in collaboration with WashU Medicine physicians from St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Progress West Hospital is recognized as a Certified Level II Stroke Center with telestroke capabilities. The hospital’s medical office building houses specialists in primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, pediatrics, and orthopedics.
