What to expect

Length of Fellowship: 12 months

Number of Positions: 3

Salary: PGY-4 OR PGY-5 as approved click here + benefits/shared use of fellowship field response vehicle

Masters Degree: Optional, with prior arrangement with program director.

Medical Oversight Spectrum:

Fellows currently share two fellowship field response vehicles to allow field response.  Anticipated field time expectations are described in policy

  • Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP)

Curriculum includes:

  • Required
    • EMD certification
    • EVOC certification
  • Optional based on fellow interest
    • EMT-T certification
    • Firefighter certification
    • Paramedic certification

Clinical Shifts:

12 hours per week in a busy urban Level I trauma center or a community ED
Moonlighting opportunities available, requires approval.

Fellowship Time Allocation and Travel:

Approximate weekly hours commitment is described in policy and as noted below.  There is some travel for various courses and commitments as well.  Anticipated weekly average obligations should look somewhat like this.
